Solar Power

​SCP Properties was one of the first businesses in Ontario to sign on to the FIT (Feed In Tariff) 1 solar contract. As a pioneer in green technology, the Scott family installed 246 kilowatts of solar power on the roof of the SCP Centre in 2010.  These panels continue to produce green power to the grid with low maintenance.  Why aren't more roofs covered with solar panels?
​Energy from the sun. Since the installation in 2010, SCP has produced over 3 Gigawatts of renewable energy from the sun in this beautiful area of Ontario. The solar panels are connected to Ontario Hydro's main grid and provide electricity that offsets natural gas powered electricity.
